Cykelferie i Sydskandinavien

A cycling holiday with overnight stays in the open air along the way (also known by the more trendy term bikepacking, which really just means that you transport your own overnight equipment on the bike) is a wonderfully cheap and spontaneous form of holiday, as you don't need to book anything in advance and can therefore adapt the trip completely to the day's weather and mood.

 

In both Denmark and Sweden there are plenty of free shelters and campsites for free use, and you can also pre-book your shelters on bookenshelter (for a small fee) for greater planning security (currently only covers Funen, Lolland-Falster and the Wadden Sea). Of course, you can also choose to use hotels, hostels, cabins or campsites along the way if you want a higher level of comfort and more predictability on your cycling holiday.

Note: Many of the individual stages on the Kattegattleden, Sydostleden, Sudkustleden and Fjordstien are also excellent day trips from Copenhagen due to the many station towns along the routes.
